Shrynk is built with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Shrynk collects very little data:
Shrynk shows contextual ads to free users via Google AdMob. These ads are contextual only — targeted based on the app category, not your personal data. We have disabled all personalised advertising and ad tracking. No ATT (App Tracking Transparency) prompt is shown because no tracking occurs.
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active but no payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs payment processing.
All compression happens on your device. Compressed files are saved to your chosen destination (Photos library or Files app) and are not retained by Shrynk beyond what you save.
Your compression history (file names and sizes) is stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage and is never transmitted to us.
Shrynk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, and delete any personal data we hold. Since we hold no personal data, there is nothing to access or delete. If you have questions, contact us.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
